Just around the corner is Sean's appearance at Brisbane's Valley Fiesta on July 10. (Saturday 2.20pm-3pm at the Rocket Stage in the Brunswick Street Mall). The gig will be billed as Sean Sennett & Crush76. There's a warm-up show at The Alley (Milton)on July 4. The web-page only EP is completed and will be out shortly.

Work is almost finished on the first Sean Sennett & Crush76 EP for 2004. The EP will include at least two rarities, a Jeremy Allom mix of the extended version of 'The Sun King' and the previously unreleased 'Blinded By The Sun' ; which is a demo recorded shortly before the release of (this boy's life). The EP should be out in June, and will only be accessible to subscribers of www.seansennett.com

Sean has been invited to a host an evening of acoustic music on Sunday March 28 at Ric's in Fortitude Valley. Starting at 7pm, the night will feature five Brisbane based artists doing it in acoustic mode. The line-up includes Sean & Bronwyn from The Spoils, The Bluebells (which is John Willsteed and Maureen Hansen), The Dobells and Brad Wright .

Recording for the Crush76 EP has begun. Recently the band were holed up in Psi-Fi Studios where they cut six new tracks. We're not sure what songs made the final list, but we know at least three of the tunes were live faves that hadn't been on previous CD's. The songs are in the process of being mixed and Sean say's a CD should be 'out before the end of June'. Sean didn't say what all the tunes were, but he did say the oldest one put to tape is 'Hymn To Your Rolling Sea' and the newsest is 'Domestic Bliss'; which Sean previewed to the band two days before they went in to record.

Here we are in 2004. There's lots on the horizon. Sean has been gathering tracks for a possible solo album, and there's recording in the air for Crush76. The plan is to release either three Crush76 Ep's this year, or possibly an album. The discs may well feature tracks Sean has written with other writers. The first Ep, which will be ready before mid-year, will only be available to subcribers of this web page. The disc will feature a handfull of rarities. Watch this space.

The best buy you'll find anywhere on the net for the Lost & Found album is at - ABC Shop.

Sean has been asked to put together a night of acoustic music at Ric's (Fortitude Valley). The line-up has yet to be finalised, but it will take place on March 28.

Sean's 2klm tour of Brisbane has come to a close. The December acoustic gigs included eight shows over sixteen nights at the likes of The Troubadour, Rics and The Tivoli. Last night's show was a real highlight. Supporting Lloyd Cole, Sean turned in a cracking set that included 'My Love Is A Kite', 'Winter In August' and a top notch '(If You Hide) Behind The Sun'. Sean was joined at The Tivoli gig by guitarist John Willsteed, who has played on both the Lost&Found and (this boy's life) albums.

Word is that Sean will be releasing a new single sometime early in the new year. There's also news of interesting collaborations and a cool remix to come.
Not sure what the single will be at the moment, but odds are stacking up favourably for 'Bicycle' or 'On A Bus Or A Car Or A Train'. As usual, fans should look out for some cool unreleased bonus tracks.

Last Friday night at The Tivoli was a great success. Highlights from the set included the rarely played 'She's A Comet' from the (this boy's life) album and a rousing 'Bicycle'. Earlier in the day Seanand Andrew Forrest got together and played a live acoustic version of 'Lost and Found' on local radio.

This week Sean was invited 'on air' to play one of his all-time favourite tunes. What did he opt for? 'Rattlesnakes' by Lloyd Cole & The Commotions got the nod ... it sounded great too! Looks like 'My Love Is A Kite' still has wind in it's sales. Catch the video this Saturday morning on Video Hits (Sat.Nov 1). The clip is still receiving play on Channel V and certain stores are selling out of the album and single. If you're having trouble finding stock, email admin@seansennett.com, and we'll pass your request onto the record company.

Sean's double-header with Josh Arnold at The Zoo last week was a great night. William Marshall played killer lead guitar, and the band were joined by Rebecca Kneen on a rousing 'My Love Is A Kite'. Highlights included 'Bicycle', 'Lost And Found' and a new song 'The Man With The Star In His Hand'. The band played a cool instrumental, while Sean ad-libbed parts of 'I Left My Heart In Highgate Hill' with 'Saw It Like A Slow Right Hook'. More shows are coming up.

Rumour has it that 'Slow Right Hook' from the Lost&Found album has been serviced to key alternative radio this week. Keeps your ears peeled.

Inner city Brisbane readers should pick up a copy of this week's Brisbane News for an interview with Sean by Trent Dalton. It's a great story ...

Sean was a guest of The Brisbane Writer's Festival recently for a session on 'Deconstructing the Lyric'.

Sean, along with John Willsteed and Rebecca Kneen will be playing a live set on ABC FM Radio this Friday afternoon (September 19) at 3.35pm on QLD's Gold (FM 921) and Sunshine Coasts. The set includes 'Lost and Found', 'Bicycle', 'Winter In August' and more.
